How much does classic car restoration cost?
We only charge $115 per labor hour (below national average of $150) and our cost plus 30% on everything else, parts, materials, supplies and sublet work. We estimate everything in advance. And we do everything on a simple zero deposit, time and materials, pay-as-you-go weekly in arrears system. You get weekly updates, photos, and receipts. YOU SEE ALL OUR COSTS. It's the most open, honest and fair system nationwide.
How long does classic car restoration take?
We are happy to do as much or as little as you like, from service and repair to metal, body, paint or interior to full frame-off restoration to complete scratch new body builds and everything in between. Service and repairs usually take days, metal, body, paint and interior take weeks, and full frame-offs and builds take months. Nothing we do takes years. We do it RIGHT, the first time.
Can classic car restoration come with a warranty?
Yes! Other shops will tell you it's impossible but when you do it right, the first time, at a fair price, in a reasonable amount of time, with quality inside and out, you can warranty a restoration just like anything else. Do you restore cars that are not running?
Yes! We do this all the time. Customers frequently bring us classic cars and trucks that have been sitting for years, if not for decades, and ask us to make them start, run and drive again. We can just do that or we can do that and then restore it back to it's former glory. Or anything in between. Your call. We're here to help.
Do you work on classic Ford Mustangs?
Yes! Our shops have always been Ford heavy so we've worked on hundreds of classic Mustangs over the decades, more than anyone in this part of the world, by a long shot. Classic Ford Mustangs are our number 1 vehicle for service, repair, restoration and builds.
Do you restore classic Ford Broncos?
Yes! We love Broncos. I've personally owned 3 Broncos so far, we used to own and run Bronco Hut Parts, Service, Restoration and Builds, and my wife and I currently have an all-original 1971 Bronco. Our shops have worked on more Broncos than we can count. We know and love all things Classic Ford Bronco. Yeehaw!
Do you restore classic Camaros, Chevelles and Corvettes?
Yes! My first car was a 1972 El Camino, so I had half a Chevelle, and I've loved them ever since. We've worked on every year Chevelle possible. And, I've personally owned 5 Camaros to date, and there will be more in future, no doubt. We can't get enough Classic Camaro. Plus, I've also owned 5 Corvettes so far, and we love those too. Camaro, Chevelle or Corvette, bring it on!
Do you work on MOPAR Muscle Cars?
Yes! Our owner and shop manager, Richard Morgan has been a MOPAR nut all his life. We have worked on every type, year, make and model of MOPAR you can imagine over the years. We have been an Official Licensed restoration partner of MOPAR. We love MOPARs!
Can you convert a classic car or truck to fuel injection / EFI?
Yes! Electronic Fuel Injection or EFI is one of our most popular and requested RestoMod or Restoration-Modification requests from customers. We do EFI conversions all the time. And most importantly, we know how to do it right the first time, wire it right, plumb it right, and then tune it so it actually runs and drives well. In fact, we do other shop's finish and tuning all the time.
Can you install air conditioning / A/C in a classic car or truck?
Yes! Classic car and truck A/C or air conditioning installation is extremely popular and we service, repair, restore and install A/C every day in our shop. We work on original and aftermarket A/C units and systems. We charge existing systems and convert them to the new freon as well. We'll make your classic A/C blow cold.
Do you perform mechanical repairs on classic cars without doing a complete restoration?
Yes! We are happy to do as much as little as you like, always. We do simple mechanical service and repairs on classic cars and trucks all day, every day, from brake jobs to tune ups to wheels and tires and all the rest. We have full-time mechanics that do nothing but classic service work. We're happy to do mechanical only, metal only, body only, paint only, interior only, glass only, trim only, or whatever you like all the way to full frame-off restorations and custom scratch new body builds. Finding a good, solid, reliable, experienced, fair, efficient mechanic or shop to service classics these days is tough. That's us! Classic Auto Repair Service / CARS Restoration.
Can you restore a car that has extensive rust?
Yes! We have always restored classic cars and trucks in any condition, including the worst possible rusted out wreck sitting in a field with a tree growing up through the middle of it (seriously), old barn (many times), grandma's garage (love it), etc. We love metal work and bringing these amazing works of art back to life like they were brand new again. We replace whole metal panels along factory lines just like back in the day. The right way.
Can you rebody my rusty classic with a new replacement body shell?
Yes! We are the ORIGINAL replacement body shell dealer, rebody restoration shop, and scratch new body shell builder in America. We've been buying, selling, and using GM, Ford and MOPAR licensed body shells to rebody, restore and build classic cars and trucks longer than anyone. Call us BEFORE you decide whether to restore or rebody your classic vehicle. We know the body shell business inside and out. We've even built our own shells in house. And we know registration. Let's talk.
Can you build a RestoMod car or truck?
Yes! We do RestoMod or restoration-modification work all day, every day, and have for years. What does that mean? In general, it means restoring a classic but also updating some things with modern replacements, such as engine, transmission, suspension, DISC brakes, wheels, tires, interior, wiring, electronics, audio / video, fuel injection / EFI, air conditioning / A/C, power steering, and more. We build to suit and your wish is our command. Most importantly, we not only know how to install these items but how to make them work together properly so that your vehicle will start, run and drive well once complete. There's a trick to doing RestoMod builds right and we know it. We finish other shops work all the time. Make sure you choose the right shop first.
Do you build pro-touring or pro-street cars and trucks?
Yes! We've been restoring, building and customizing classic car and trucks since 1987, which is longer than most shops have even existing. We have built pro-touring and pro-street custom vehicles many times over the decades. This means we have the experience and talent to not only do it, but do it right, the first time, with quality, at a fair price, in a reasonable time, and warranty everything we do. That's very rare in our industry. Be careful when you choose a shop to build your dream ride. You can't afford to pay for them to learn on your dime. Their time is your money. Think.
